The outgoing president and chief executive of Ambanc Holding Co. is considering chief executive posts at other banks outside of New York.

John Lisicki said he has been talking with several Eastern Seaboard thrifts and thinks the conversations could be fruitful.

Lisicki will step down as head of Ambanc, parent of Mohawk Community Bank, when its $96 million acquisition by Hudson River Bank and Trust Co. is finalized, which is expected early next year.

LISICKI Ambanc shareholders will vote on the deal at 1 p.m. Monday.
