NSW: Three men quizzed following pub shooting
By Charlie Hamilton
SYDNEY, Dec 7 AAP - Three men were being questioned by police tonight after up to 30
gunshots were fired in a south-west Sydney carpark.
One of the men being quizzed suffered a graze to his leg in the incident which took
place around 3.45pm (AEDT) at the rear of the Kings Head Tavern on King Georges Road in
South Hurstville.
Police said the man had received medical treatment for the minor injury, but said it
was not yet clear whether the graze had been caused by a bullet.
No weapon had been recovered and the men were assisting officers with their inquiries
at Hurstville Police Station.
"The shots were fired in the carpark close to the tavern and a number of cars have
been peppered with bullets," said a police spokeswoman.
Initial details were scarce but officers believed that the incident was not a drive-by
shooting and the gunman or gunmen fired from a position in the carpark.
It was not clear who or what the gunmen were targeting.
