NSW: Baby killed and five others injured in head-on smash
SYDNEY, April 2 AAP - A toddler was killed and five other people, including a seven-year-oldboy, were injured in a car smash in southern NSW today.
Police said the young boy was killed in the two-car head-on crash on the Hume Highwayat Tumblong, near Gundagai, about noon today.
A seven-year-old boy, who was trapped unconscious in the same vehicle, was seriouslyinjured and taken to Gundagai Hospital.
It was believed the two boys were travelling in a car with family members, while oneperson was in the second car.
An ambulance spokesman said four adults were injured.
A 40-year-old woman has serious chest and stomach injuries and a 40-year-old man sustainedserious chest and back injuries.
A 50-year-old man suffered multiple leg injuries and a 35-year-old man suffered back injuries.
They were all taken to Gundagai Hospital.
