NSW: Technology will help us cope: Moore-Wilton
Sydney Airport's chief executive MAX MOORE-WILTON says improvements in aircraft technologywill allow the airport to handle increased traffic without making major alterations toits infrastructure.
Sydney Airport Corporation Limited has released a plan that forecasts passenger numbersat the airport to triple in the next 20 years.
Under the plan, the domestic and international passenger terminals will be extendedwhile air freight facilities will be relocated north of the airport.
Mr MOORE-WILTON has told ABC radio technology is changing quite rapidly, and he believesSydney Airport can handle the changes by expanding the airport without doing any majorchange to the airport runways.
